So here’s the setup:

I’ve got this lovely PHP/MySQL site that I’ve been working on. It was originally designed to only support one client, but management decided to change it to support multiple clients. OK, so it’s no (HUGE) deal.

Unless, that is, you forget that you use $client[] to pull in information about the current instance of the site, and try to use $client[] again on the page where one adds or edits new client instances.

Oops!

Sorry I’ve missed another day… life has a tendency to get extremely complicated without warning, and I got a big splash of it yesterday.
Today’s post comes courtesy of friends of mine on Plurk. Names have been changed to protect the innocent and guilty :-)

(EJ) says: any update on the recruiter conversation?
Yes, she wrote me today! I replied earlier on Plurk with her message, which *could* be positive or not. I’m really not sure.

(MK) says: if you had a chance to be a nude model, would you go for it? :)
That depends on the circumstances, but if someone really wanted me to model nude, and wasn’t just jerking my chain, sure. I am comfortable enough wandering around Spa World in the nude, so a non-sexual situation like that for modeling should be equally okay.

(WT) says: what is the meaning of life?
The meaning of life, as in the purpose, or something else? (Me: I was going to reply “42,” but that’s actually the *answer*, not the meaning…)

(WT) says: or Why weren’t you here to go on a bike ride with me this morning? :) )
Sadly, time and money conspire against my honest wish that I could spend in-person time with all my Plurk buddies.

(EJ) says: if you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be and why?
I’ll assume you mean any living actual human, but if not, please re-ask  The answer would be president Obama, because I want to get his perspective on what he’s been put through so far, and why he has been consistently such a disappointment to progressives.

(SM) says: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop??
Three (Me: OK, here I was cheeky. Sorry.)

(RU) Why the @&#*$! was Rupe awakened by a hideous dream so that he couldn’t go back to sleep? The day: She’s gonna be a long one …..
Because your brain chemistry misfired and caused an event that transitioned you from sleep to wakefulness out of cycle.

(AM) What is your favourite song? You can choose a few =)
Oh, gosh, I have so many! Lately, “Love Song for a Vampire,” “Little Earthquakes,” and “Chronisch Pleite” play in my head a LOT.

(TP) What made you decide to offer yourself this way today? Considering the potential for really personal questions?
Easy! My friend AV asked me. Since he’s been kind enough to share his personal life with me online and in print, the least I could to is offer to do as much of the same for him. And I don’t mind people asking me questions, even very personal ones.

(AK) thinks that RU should look closely for *snickers wrappers* ….**MUUAAAHAHAHAHA**
No fair not asking questions here :)

(RU) *knew* it … !!!
(Me: Quiet down there in the peanut gallery!)

(AV) I thought you’d never ask! Poor David, I haven’t made extra work… have I? :-?
Not at all! Seriously, I like this kind of thing  I signed up for the Web site that does the same, but I can’t recall its name.
(Me: it’s in the blog sidebar, actually :-) )

(ST) If elected, what steps would you take to preclude jeb bush from getting nominated for presidency?
I’m not sure that I *could* take any steps, ST. If he meets the legal criteria, he has a right to run.

(RR) asks: if there were one thing in this world you could get rid of forever, what would it be?
Humanity’s fear of the unknown. I think it drives much of the hate and anger that causes pain in this world.

(MH) what processes would a quad processor really speed up?
I’m not a hardware guy, but I think the answer depends on the operating system using the QP and how it + apps are written.

(RR) wonders if he will just blog the answers to all these ?’s
That’s a clever idea, and would let me have a good post for today :)
