PFR for Campbell Chunky Roadhouse Beef & Bean Chili

Rating

★★★★★★★☆☆☆

Cons

  1. Pricey
  2. Two servings, in one bowl? Please, people, get realistic
  3. Really high in sodium

Pros

  1. Pretty tasty for microwaved
  2. High in fiber and protein

Nutrition

  • Serving size: one cup (240 mL)—note that the container has “about two” servings!
  • kCal: 230
  • Fat (saturated): 8 g (3.5 g)
  • Carbs (fiber): 25 g (8 g)
  • Sodium: 870 mg
  • Protein: 15 g

Worth It?

Occasionally, yes. The sodium content overshadows the good protein and carb values.

Final Words

If you like Texas-style chili (only with beans), this is a good chili for you. It’s not searing hot (there is a version that is), it’s full of flavor, and there’s plenty of protein. The only real downside is the scarily-high amount of salt in the product. If you watch your salt intake (and you should, if you’re American), one bowl will basically eat your entire day’s sodium allotment.
